Beata Ciepła
President of the Board of the Federation of Polish Food Banks and Chairman of the Board of the Food Bank in Cracow. She graduated from the Faculty of Roman Philology and worked as a sworn French translator for many years. She has been involved with NGOs for nearly 30 years. She is a co-founder of the Food Bank of Cracow, which she is heading to this day. In 2021 she took over the position of President of the Board of the Federation of Polish Food Banks - an organization that unites 31 Food Banks across Poland and coordinates their work on a national level. During her tenure to date, Food Banks have participated in food aid efforts during emergencies: the COVID-19 pandemic, the aftermath of the war in Ukraine, and the September 2024 flood. In addition to these exceptional events, Food Banks also carried out their daily mission of saving food from going to waste and distributing it to more than 1 million people in need in Poland
